Advice from Dad – I Never Got!

Advice from Dad, I never got!

New York City - Without A Dad

Growing up in the chaos of New York City, I had to learn a lot of lessons the hard way. Without my father to guide me, I was a boy running through a maze without a map—taking wrong turns, hitting dead ends, mixing with the wrong people and occasionally getting lost along the way.

It wasn’t pretty, but it was real and it was hard. I made mistakes, plenty of them, and it turns out mistakes are some of life’s best teachers.

Now, after years of trial and error (emphasis on the error), I’ve compiled “Advice from Dad, – I never had!” a series of  369 pieces of advice (one a week) that I wish someone had shared with me when I was growing up. It would have saved me a lot of money, trouble and pain.

What kind of content is "Advice From Dad I Never Got?"

This isn’t just a list of some random list of  motivational quotes or empty platitudes.

These are real life, hard-learned lessons. The kind of advice that comes from messing up and learning how to bounce back stronger.

This collection covers everything in my life from finances and career choices to personal development and dealing with everyday challenges. And it’s all delivered in a caring, fatherly tone—because we all need a little guidance sometimes, no matter how old or young we are.

What Makes Advice From Dad I Never Got Special?

What makes “Advice from Dad, – I never got!” special is that it’s not just about giving you answers; it’s about empowering you to believe in yourself. It’s about showing you that, no matter where you are in life, you have the ability to achieve your goals—whether those goals are financial, personal, or professional or just getting over a break-up.

It’s about giving you the confidence to face challenges head-on, knowing that you’ve got the tools to overcome them.

But here’s the thing—this wisdom isn’t something you can just read once and move on from. Life doesn’t work like that. These are lessons that build on each other, and the real magic happens when you absorb them over time, allowing each piece of advice to sink in and take root. That’s why I’m offering a unique opportunity: subscribe to Advice from Dad, – I never got!” and receive one piece of fatherly advice by email every week for the next twelve months. Over the course of the next two years, I would have published 369 pieces of wisdom, delivered straight to your inbox—just like having a caring father figure dropping life-changing nuggets of wisdom on your doorstep.

Who Is "Advice From Dad I Never Got" Made For?

Did you grow up sometimes wishing you had someone – who could sit down with you and told you the damn truth about how life really works — how money and love work.  Even, what to do when you know you’ve screwed up and just want someone to guide you back?  Instead you did what you thought was right and just ended up repeating the cycle — then this series is for you. Whether you’re a mom trying to raise good kids without a manual, or a man still trying to figure out what being a man sometimes really means, welcome.

I’m not a therapist, I’m not your preacher, I’m not even a life coach. I’m just a guy (a proud dad) who learned a lot about life the hard way and decided it’s time to pass it on.  Think of this like advice from your dad, if your dad had a dark sense of humor and wasn’t afraid to admit he messed up too.
